Deborah pays tribute to Janis Joplin on Rochester,NY 95.1FM The Brew w/ Wease

Brother Wease sent out an on air challenge to anyone who could sing Janis Joplin's "Cry Baby".  He was conversing with one of the Janis broadway play performers, saying that even the broadway singers had a hard time doing that song right.  Deborah's friend Suzanne heard Wease on the car radio & immediately pulled over and called him. She told him that there was one person in Rochester who could honor that challenge, Deborah Magone.  He said he doubts it, but took her on.

Suzanne called Deborah. Deborah got the band together for a few rehearsals and went up to Wease's studio at 95.1FM The Brew, and performed live on the air, and this is what the listeners heard that day.

DEBORAH SINGS "CRY BABY" live on 95.1FM The BREW

When we finished we looked over at Wease & he was a bit teary eyed. A trucker called in and said he had to pull over cause he started crying' too. Hugs & good feelings all around as Deborah & the band brought the sounds of Janis Joplin back to life that day. Thanks Suzanne & Thank You for the challenge & the opportunity Brother Wease , we Love YOU !!
